The Technical Audit: Why Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s Bat-Swing Faces a Structural Test in Manchester
A Rajasthan Royals teammate casts doubt on Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's style ahead of the Manchester T20I. Inside the technical analysis of his bat-swing.
I've witnessed several dream debuts in the Indian Premier League and the one that Praful Hinge has just accomplished in the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium will surely go into the books of history. It is well-known that the pressure of making your debut can be a burden for anyone, but this particular day, April 13in 2026 the Vidarbha fast-baller seemed as if he was made to play on the biggest arena. It was clear the shock on the faces of those Rajasthan Royals ( RR) players as they broke down under an epic first-over attack that put the game to bed prior to the start of the game.

A Record-Breaking Start: The Triple Strike That Stunned RR
To defend against a staggering goal of 217 wickets, Sunrisers Hyderabad ( SRH) made a move to their lowest-cost recruit, and it resulted in a return that was beyond any imagination. While many bowlers took two wickets in the opening over, Praful Hinge was the first cricketer to ever in the IPL's history to score three wickets within the initial over in an innings.
The final swoop came following a hit to the ball that was first. Praful Hinge delivered a sharp, quick ball to knock out 15-year-old star Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in an unlucky golden duck. After two balls and he wrested off the in-form Dhruv Jules by executing a stunning length shot. In the final act of the most memorable opening ball in league past, he cleared South African recruit Lhuan-dre Pretorius in the closing ball. It is a fact that the team is rarely able to recover from 1/3 within the first over. Rajasthan Royals were not an exception.
Tactical Insight: Why Praful Hinge Was the X-Factor
From an analysis perspective The inclusion from Praful Hinge gave an SRH with the unadulterated speed and hitting-the-deck skills they'd not had. I am convinced that his experience in MRF Pace Foundation under Varun Aaron was evident. MRF Pace Foundation in the direction of Varun Aaron and Varun Aaron was apparent in his seam presentations as well as his discipline.
The setup: Contrary to the seasoned pros who attempt to swing too hard, Hinge focused on the lengths that are hard and the high bounce.
The impact: By removing the top three ducks he neutralized the risky Yashasvi Jaiswal through the deprivation of strike as well as his partners.
The Follow-through The batsman didn't quit at the beginning of the round and returned to disarm RR Captain Riyan Parag, ending with astonishing figures that stood at 4/18..

Who is Praful Hinge? The Rise of the Vidarbha Workhorse
This isn't an "one-match wonder" story. Praful Hinge an unidentified 24-year-old right-arm seamer who is a shrewd player in the local cricket with Vidarbha. He is, as we all know, admires Pat Cummins and Umesh Yadav as well, and the combination of aggression and leadership is on display on the field today. The man was bought for thirty lakh at the Abu Dhabi auction, he is quickly becoming one of the top-rated bargains for the year.
I believe that his previous experience with red-ball cricket, having been able to take 27 wickets over just 10 first-class matches -- gave him the strength and endurance to be able to throw a fast time. I could see him becoming an everlasting fixture in the SRH the pace attack, in particular in the absence of Pat Cummins currently being sidelined by injury.
Final Verdict: A New Star is Born in Hyderabad
It is probably possible to conclude that the SRH has discovered a gem out of the rubble. One powerful move can alter the course of a match. In the case of Rajasthan Royals, this loss is a huge alarm about their top-order vulnerabilities against real velocity. The IPL is a marathon however the Praful Hinge has given Sunrisers Hyderabad an opportunity to get the sprint start they've been desperately seeking.
Watch this promising young player throughout the course of the season. If he continues to show the bounce and nippiness and bounce, he could become the star in the IPL in 2026. The supporters in Hyderabad are greeted with an exciting new character to cheer for and records books are getting a fresh name on the top.
